Various forms of sedation are available for our patients. The most common form is nitrous oxide or “laughing gas”. Some patients prefer to have a deeper sedation than what nitrous oxide can provide. For this reason, several pill forms of sedation are available and work great for patients undergoing various forms of treatment, from fillings to root canals to surgery. We use several common medications to provide sedation (Valium, Halcion, Versed, etc). If you are interested in being sedated for your dental work, ask one of the doctors and we will be happy to discuss which option will work best for you.
